Lower Stomach Exercises To
Help Lose Abdominal Fat

If you want to get rid of any excess belly fat and gain the perfect six pack you need to isolate certain muscles within the abdominal group. One such set of muscles which needs isolation in order to be exercised properly are the muscles in the lower stomach and there are a few exercises that you can use to do this.

Alternating Toe Touch

The first exercise requires you to lie on your back and put your feet up in the air. While in this position you need to extend your right arm and use your lower abdominals to lift your shoulders off the floor. Then you need to touch your left toes with your right hand and lower yourself back down. Switch hands and simply repeat this process making sure that your knees are kept straight and maintain a space between your chin and chest.

Sit Up Hold

The second exercise requires you to lie on your back and bend your knees so that you feet are flat on the floor with your hands behind your head. Keep your elbows back behind your head so that you can't see them. Then you need to use your lower abdominals to lift your shoulders off the floor. Hold this position for ten seconds and release. As your body gets used to this exercise you can hold this position for a longer period of time.

Lower Back Flatten

The third exercise requires the same starting position as the second. When you are in this position there is a natural space between your lower back and the floor due to the curve of your spine. For this exercise you need to use your lower abdominals to push your lower back toward the floor and eliminate this space. Once your back is flat on the floor you hold this position for ten seconds and then release. As your muscles get stronger you can hold this position for longer.

These exercises are perfect for working the lower abdominal muscles. If you perform these exercises on a regular basis you will start to eliminate any fat and build up a six pack. Its important to exercise all of your stomach muscles and not just your lower abdominals so you should combine these exercises with others to help keep your stomach in good shape.
