How To Lose Belly Fat After Pregnancy

After the joy of having a new born baby the last thing you want is to have excess belly fat and extra weight around your stomach and midsection. Fortunately, there are some simple exercises that you can do to quickly reduce and eliminate this abdominal fat and keep your stomach looking good.

Crunchless Crunch

This stomach exercise is the most popular but can be quite difficult to perform. It involves trying to pull the belly button in towards the spine. This exercise can be performed by either lying on your stomach or kneeling. While in this position you need to use only the lower abdominal muscles to move your belly button towards your spine and then hold this position for ten seconds. Repeat this process multiple times until you feel your muscles working harder around your stomach.

Progressive Crunchless Crunch

This stomach exercise is easier to perform than the crunchless crunch and it puts less strain on your back and neck. All you have to do is find a chair to sit in and place one hand above and below your belly button so that you can feel the contractions of your abdominal muscles. Then you need to take a deep breath to fully expand your midsection.

As you slowly let the breath out you need to pull your belly inwards towards your spine. After you release your stomach into its normal position you can briefly contract your abdominal muscles in and out five times. Repeat this process multiple times and then rest for a few minutes. This exercise can also be performed by lying on your back.

Contractions

This stomach exercise is similar to the progressive crunchless crunch but involves quicker steps and more repetitions. While sitting in the same position take a deep breath to fully expand your midsection. This time, pull your belly inwards towards your spine but hold it about half way. Then pull it back towards your spine and hold this position for one second. After you release you can repeat this process one hundred times.

Although caring for a new born baby will take up a lot of your time, you only need to find a few spare minutes everyday to perform these exercises and start reducing any excess belly fat. By finding the time to perform these exercises everyday you will be able to eliminate all belly fat within a few months (or even faster if you exercise more regularly).
